please welcome

{insert drum roll here}

new dog!

yeah, the name kinda sucks: we’re working on it. in fact, we’d like your help. after two days with no clear winner, intervention is clearly called for. so please, help us choose a name for our dog. seriously. leave a comment here or on my facebook page stating your preference for our names ~or~ nominate a name of your own. we just can’t keep calling him new dog, it’s not right.

  1. radar {just look at those ears!}
  2. rocket
  3. cody

here’s what you need to know to play along: he’s a boy {and how, but we’re getting that taken care of in a little bit}; i love the name oliver, but that’s saved for a human child; he’s super sweet, lovey dovey, and tolerates just about everything we throw at him {seriously, he just laid down when we bathed him}; we rescued him from shelter living and before that he ran the streets {but doesn’t seem to have picked up any bad habits, other than chewing rocks}; he’s about 30 pounds, long and lean, with a head that he’s going to have to grow into; it looks like daddy was an australian shepherd and mom was a greyhound; he’s about 6 months old; he’s a little bit goofy and not just because he’s a puppy, so we can’t name him sir percival willhelm III unless we’re trying to be ironic; the hubby and i prefer two syllable names {but we don’t want to be dorky, so it can’t start with “m” or rhyme with “olly”}; we’re open to epic references to cool tv characters {we have a four-legged friend down the street named jack donaghy, but his friends just call him jack}.

i think that about covers it! thanks for helping us out.
